Meet Nithin Shakamuri

Nithin Shakamuri is an Associate Attorney in the Transactions Department at Patel Law Group. Originally from Odessa, Texas, he moved to Dallas to attend the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Public Health.

Nithin began his legal journey at the Human Rights Initiative; a nonprofit legal aid organization focused on humanitarian-based immigration cases. There, he gained hands-on client experience through the Crime Victims Program. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2023 and recently completed his LL.M. in Taxation from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2025.

During law school, Nithin interned with Patel Law Group for two summers, supporting the firm’s transactional practice. He also completed a legal externship with Keurig Dr Pepper, where he worked closely with the company’s legal and tax departments on various regulatory matters.

Now a full-time member of the firm, Nithin is committed to building a long-term practice in corporate transactional law in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He brings a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to client service and is excited to grow his career at PLG.
