Streamlined Immigration Processes: USCIS Introduces Personalized Timelines for Form I-765 and Form I-131

Posted on Aug 4, 2023 by Chris Prescott

USCIS has recently announced that they are expanding “myProgress,” previously known as personalized processing times, to Forms I-765 and I-131.

Applicants will now have the ability to track the progress of their applications through USCIS’s online platform.

According to USCIS, myProgress provides applicants with access, in their online account, to personalized estimates of their wait time for major milestones on their case, including their final case decision.   Although these estimates are based on historical patterns of similar cases, they are not a guarantee as USCIS cannot take into account unique application processing delays and as a result they may over or underestimate the processing time for any individual application.

To take advantage of myProgress applicants will first need to create a USCIS online account by clicking here.  Once the account has been created applicants can log into their account, select their pending application and then view the estimated processing time. The myProgress tab will display the estimated processing time and will also provide applicants with information on three milestones as they are completed.  These are as follows:

  • Confirmation that the application has been received;
  • Completion of biometrics; and
  • A Final decision.

In order to submit a service request applicants will still need to check USCIS processing times to see whether their case falls outside of normal processing times.
