Meet Rakesh Patel

Rakesh is a founding partner and serves as a Managing Partner to the Patel Law Group. Rakesh’s primary practice area is business immigration, with a focus on foreign EB-5 investment in the United States. Rakesh has helped immigrants and investors throughout the world in obtaining their visas and green cards to the US through the EB-5 process. He has been recognized as one of the Top 5 Rising Stars for EB-5 Attorneys in the US by EB-5 Investors Magazine. Rakesh takes every step of the legal process very seriously for his clients. His extensive background in business along with his educational background of receiving a Master’s in Business Administration is put to use every day when he visits with his clients. He not only understands their legal needs but understands how that legal decision may impact the business.

Rakesh’s immigration practice also focuses on both employment-based immigration and family-based immigration. From the employment side, Rakesh represents several companies across the US in their business and immigration needs. He works as general counsel for these companies and processes all their immigration needs including H-1B applications, PERM process for Green Cards, L1 applications, in house audits, investor visas, and many other immigration needs. Rakesh has taken a keen interest in representing IT Consulting companies and ensuring that they are following the ever-changing immigration laws. Also, Rakesh represents clients from across the country in family-based immigration matters. Whether it is for naturalization, Green Cards, spouse visas, family applications or visitor visas, Rakesh has expertise in representing his clients when it comes to family-based applications. Rakesh also has worked on both commercial and residential transactions. He has assisted clients with the drafting of real estate agreements as well as reviewing all documents associated with a real estate agreement including title documents, lender documents, deeds, notes and any other documents that may need to be reviewed and revised during the process.

Rakesh attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained his degree in International Business with a minor in legal studies. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he received his JD and International Masters in Business Administration (IMBA) from the University of Denver. In his free time, Rakesh enjoys traveling the world with his wife and two children, coaching basketball and caddying his son in golf, and watching and playing sports.
